And this is my cat, Mousie.
I live with the lady in an apartment in the big city. I keep busy, living with the lady. I take care of her cats, I keep her apartment tidy, and I try very hard to make her nutritious meals every day.
I do bookkeeping to earn money. All in all, I like my life with the lady. She takes me on trips and she likes to watch the tv shows that Mousie and I enjoy. I think life would be practically perfect, except for one thing......
It's getting too crowded here! It's the lady and her creatures - she just can't stop letting stray creatures come to live with us. Not only do they show up at our door, but she makes new ones and she never, ever stops. I know that she tries to find them good homes, but there are still too many of them and they are making Mousie very, very nervous. I have to watch them all the time to make sure they don't get into trouble.
I had this great idea. I would set up a store and find them good homes myself (for a fee) - there are so many of them that the lady will never miss one or two. Mousie and I would like to retire to a sheep farm some day and I'm just not saving enough money from my bookkeeping business. The lady doesn't have to know.....
I found all of the lady's pattern books on a shelf and I thought that maybe someone else would like to knit or crochet someone to keep them company, like the lady does. I can sell the patterns too. The lady doesn't have to know.....
